I remember teachers, parents, grandparents, and even friends get annoyed with my perpetual fidgeting: tapping my feet, tapping my fingers, tossing things, moving around in my seat constantly. I’m just not designed to sit still.
Maybe my short attention spam hyperactive ways have contributed to me not getting fatter. I’m not exactly a paragon of healthy living. As a matter of fact, I eat like shit. I suspect that I haven’t ballooned to epic proportions because fidgeting turns out to be good for me, according to this article.

I was listening to this Lazyboy CD that my buddy Karl had, and there was this funny little spoken word comdian thing about obesity. Not that any of us contenders are obese, we just want to lose a few. Still, it’s pretty funny.
Americans, let’s face it: We’ve been a spoiled country for a long time.
Do you know what the number one health risk in America is?
Obesity. They say we’re in the middle of an obesity epidemic.
An epidemic like it is polio. Like we’ll be telling our grand kids about it one day.
The Great Obesity Epidemic of 2004.
“How’d you get through it grandpa?”
“Oh, it was horrible Johnny, there was cheesecake and pork chops everywhere.”

that really handy weight calculator is well, handy. I just don’t get how to disbribute the carbs/fat/etc.. It allowed me to pick and choose my own, but I have been gaining weight for a reason…
Betsy, do you know the correct percentage for weight loss?

I learned that eating celery results in negative calories. Not that it’s anything substantial, it’s like 7 or something like that.
According to Snopes, the web bible of urban myth busting/verification, celery contains 6 calories per 8 inch stalk. Seeing as so much of it is just water, it makes sense. Basically, your body expends more energy digesting the celery than the celery contains. And no, it’s not from heavily exerted chewing either.
Anyway, I still like it and it’s good for pooping, as I said in the other post.
