Yesterday, after being gloriously hungover from a rowdy night of drinking in Eugene, I slipped up and ate a crappy, fatty steak, fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, and drank an iced tea, on top of getting zero exercise.
Saturday morning it was interesting to note: I weighed myself at 209. After simply eating a small breakfast, drinking some coffee and water, I clocked in at 211, which I guess makes sense.
A gallon of water equals 128 ounces and weighs approximately 8.3 lbs and I drank 1 pintof water plus 16 oz of coffee for a total of 32 oz. If 128 oz of water = 8.3 lbs, then I added 2 lbs of water weight, just like that. Bizzow!
When we weigh in on the 23rd, that water weight migh affect us, especially if our total losses are all within 2lbs of our goal.

The Birthday weekend is coming to a close. Instead of being diligent about the diet I decided to “reward” myself by eating lots of yummy food and giving up my alcohol fast. It was worth it! Alissa and I did an hour plus of cardio yesterday at the gym. Burned somewhere in the range of 500 or so calories. I started doing an interval workout on the treadmill: 2 minutes at a normal pace and then 2 minutes at a faster pace. I did that for about 35 minutes and it kicked my butt-literally! I could totally feel it in the ass area. I haven’t bowled in probably 10 years or so and I remembered that it also is a good ass workout. My glutes are definitely feeling it today. Tomorrow I’m back on the plan. I’m trying to keep my calories between 1300 and 1400.
Here’s a tip: My trainer told me that the average person needs to have a caloric deficit of 3500 calories in a week to lose 1 pound.

Sorry we are going to miss Bowlaoke tonight, singing and dancing and bowling oughta burn some off. I’ve heard bowling is actually a real good burner, even though it seem to be that all the pros are either fat guys or pederasts.

Yesterday, the Finn and I walked a total of 6 miles, from my house, to MLK, back up Alberta. We stopped at the Tin Shed on 14th and Alberta, and Nicole had the best damn sandwich since Ross Island Groceries delicious smoky sweet! Relatively low in caloric intake as well.
Including my drinking with the guys, I consumed approximately 2300. I weighed in this morning at 1 lb less than two days ago. That was after a refreshing pee.

Well, it’s been two days into the challenge and I’m not doing spectacularly. I had an apple fritter for breakfast this morning. You’d think with $50.00 on the line I would be more dedicated but, alas, this week I am not. I guess I haven’t been doing that badly, though. Overall I’ve been sticking to my food plan but have been to the gym only twice this week. Tonight I’ll meet with my trainer who will hopefully, literally, kick my ass into shape.

I walked one mile for my cup of coffee today. Burned 130 calories. Today I think I’ll have a breakfast of oatmeal and bananas, then an apple and crackers for a mid morning snack. Total Breakfast Cals: 350
Additionally, I’ll have a snack of an apple and crackers in the mid morning, which provides me with 200 calories of energy. Then a medium lunch of tuna (no mayo) sandwich, soup, and carrots. (approximately 400 cals)
Since I am trying to limit myself to 2400 calories of intake a day, this will leave me room for a solid afternoon snack, a nice dinner, and some beers tonight, dammit.
Thats just my theory anyway. I’m chockful of ‘em, but I have no clue what I’m talking about, but I know you aren’t supposed to starve yourself and excercise, becuase your body will start burning eating muscle before it starts eating the fat.
I’d like to prevent myself from becoming fat tiger dork.
Additionally, I twitched like a ritalin addled freak for like ten minutes in bed this morning. Mostly because I get ancy and Nicole got annoyed with me.
