Sleeping Burns the Fat

Well of course this is largely a theory, based on studies that compared sleep patterns with obesity. It was found that people who slept less often ended up gaining more weight. The theory goes that with less sleep, your body decreases it’s levels of leptin, which is a chemical released by fat cells. Lower levels of leptin apparently resuly in a slower metabolism and increased appetite.

Here is some super biochemical information at wikipedia.
And here is a more in-depth article.

I call’em like I see’em kids, and boy howdy, do I love to sleep.

Word! Sleeping is key. I wish that I slept better and more often. I think I read somewhere that stress is also related to the “leptin” thing. The more stress you have the less leptin you release or something to that effect. So being stressed out and tired are not good, people. We just need to re-fucking-lax. Thus lending more credit to the Sex-As-Weight-Loss-Tool info. that Kyle uncovered. Thanks Kyle!
